Is it possible to replace a floating bridge with a strat style bridge?

I have a Charvel that has a Floyd Rose bridge on it. The guitar plays and sounds great, but I never use the floating bridge and its a pain. Is it possible to switch it out for a strat style bridge?

If you do not use the tremolo, why not just block it. That would be simpler and cheaper than replacing it.

If you want to replace it that should be no problem. Your cavity for the tremolo block should be more than large enough to take a Fender style bridge. Charvel put Fender type tremolos on some of the models. Those were the old 2 point tremolos like is used on the Fender American Strat. Measure the stud distance. You may find a 2 point Fender style tremolo that will fit right on those.
