Fender Pickups

How much does it cost to have a shop swap guitar pick ups?
I’m probably going to buy a cheap Squire strat and get some nice Fender pickups for it. I was wondering about how much money it would take to have someone swap out the pickups for me.
If you are supplying the parts, a shop will probably charge you between $60 and $100 for their labor. Talk to the shops that would actually do the work, rather than a music store that would send it out for the modification. Changing the pickups just requires a little soldering skill, and a moderate amount of your time and patience. Why not try it yourself?
