Dimarzio Super Disdortion-S rail humbucker in the bridge position of 2010 Fender American Standard Telecaster.?
Leaving the original factory neck pickup in place…What do you think of the idea, in general? I think it could sound incredible with the righ amp.
If you don’t like the sound of the tele then take it to your local music store and trade it in on a guitar with a humbucker. I can’t imagine fucking up an american telecaster like that. Telecasters are made to sound like they do. No matter what you do the big heavy body and the light neck, and small headstock is gonna give you a similar twang. You may have more bite but the twang will still be there. These guitars are in demand so i can’t imagine they wouldn’t give you a fair price for it. Its like an old man driving a new camaro…..it works but just aint right.
