fender bass guitar: whats the cheapest american fender bass, thats good,but cheap.?
i want american.
The lowest price point bass is the Fender Squire. The cheaper fenders are not made in America. All made in USA instruments from Fender cost about twice as much as those made elsewhere. I have a made in japan Strat and I think it is great. I would suggest however getting a Fender Precision bass, no matter where it is made. It is a nice upgrade from the Squier and you should be able to find a nice used one somewhere in your area.
